World’s Finest Wool

World’s finest wool is produced from the fleece of the merino sheep. Some breeds of goats like angora, pashmina, cashmere, etc. also provide different varieties of wool. The thick hairs of camel, which are greatly shed during summer, are also processed into wool. Merino wool constitutes up to 40% of the world’s total wool production and 43% is obtained from the crossbreed sheep. The remainder 17% is obtained from the lower breeds of the sheep and is used in the manufacture of the materials like blankets, carpets and tapestries. The wool has find various important use in our daily life.
